Destin, Florida

Last year, end of October 2014, we both needed a BIG break from our work routines. Although we ususaly go on vacations in summers but this plan was all of a sudden. We just thought of renting a car and going somewhere via road. As we live close to Florida, so Florida is always our first priority for a short vacation. We decided to see Destin, Florida. It is known to be “World’s Luckiest Fishing Village”.

Extremely beautiful and peaceful!

So what made our trip more memorable was the resort where we were staying. We stayed at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort. It is a beach facing resort and extremely beautiful. The Sandestin Golf, Tennis and Beach Resort is one of the most impressive resorts along the Emerald Coast and is also located in Miramar Beach. Sandestin is the only resort here to include all the land across the isthmus from the bay side to the Gulf front. This world class resort contains 2,400 acres with communities and high-rise luxury buildings. Each area has its own look and unique “personality”.

We went out to eat something after checkin-in. The resort had a lot of mini markets inside it. Finally we
found a place to eat; I don’t remember the name but it was quite expensive 😛

Next morning started with breakfast at IHOP (my FAV place).

We didn’t do much fun this day but we walked around the city and saw different places but the bad part was it was raining that day:(

Found a talking bird!

Later this day, we went to beach! The Miramar beach has white sand.

When you’re on a short vacation and you don’t go for shopping- for me it is just useless. Destin outlet stores are huge and impressive!

So that’s it! We came back home on Sunday! Short trip but a memorable one 😀

I hope you all like the pictures!
